Introduction to Hunting is a series of in-class meetings and on-field activities that will empower you at the end of the course, to track, hunt & butcher your food. From newbie to full-fledged hunter, this course is designed to mentor you through the whole process.
This course is aimed at new and unlicensed people keen to learn new skills and be mentored through the journey. This course is also aimed at people who have newly acquired their license or are just about to apply for their license and are looking at mentorship from experienced hunters.
This course spans 6 months, we will meet once per month and end with a 3-day hunt.

- Private land hunting in Australia
- Legislation
- Ethics
- History
- Field Butchering
- Equipment familiarisation and safety
- Selecting hunting equipment or purpose
- Game animal harvest and butchering
- Target animal species information
- Hunting and shooting safety
- Bush navigation and safety
- Use of GPS and UH radios
- Trail cameras
- Finding pathways to your hunting spot

Selection Process:Only 6 places are available for each course. We aim to keep the groups small for safety and for each candidate to get the best out of the mentorship. The selection process starts with an Expression Of Interest. We then call you and talk through your needs and expectations and provide you with a program guide. We also walk you through a Fit & Proper Police Test. You can then lock in your spot with a deposit or the full fee.
