Join us for a Walk & Talk with the Italian Farmer, Luigi on Biodynamics.

In 2024, we celebrate the centenary of the biodynamic movement. It began in 1924 when a group of farmers noticed increased disease and decreased resilience in both animals and plants. Alongside this there were concerns about the negative impacts of agro-industrial practices and chemical fertilisers that were just beginning. They approached Rudolf Steiner, convinced there had to be a better way to farm and work with nature. Steiner replied in a series of 8 lectures that was later published as the "Agriculture Course" and has been followed and applied all over the world.  

At our Walk and Talk with Farmer Luigi we will discuss Biodynamics and how we apply it to our context. A Walk & Talk is a very casual meander through our commercial and certified organic marketgarden. You will learn how Biodynamics saved our market garden from the 2021/2022 floods and view biodynamics in practice. We will discuss our techniques in the garden, and understand how we have applied biodynamics holistically in our daily lives.

This special tour is part of our celebration for 100 Years Of Biodynamics, 1924 - 2024.
